The Best Ever? Wacom Intuos Bluetooth Creative Pen Tablet

The Best Ever? Wacom Intuos Bluetooth Creative Pen Tablet

I was designing catalogs and ads for my company when desktop publishing was just beginning decades ago. I eventually had graphic designers working for me who possessed way more skill than I ever had. I watched them use all sorts of precision input devices, but I never used anything but a traditional mouse. Recently, I needed to create some design work for the cover of my now bestselling book, Leader of the Pack. So, I decided to get myself a Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet at Best Buy.

It came in a small colorful package with a super-easy 3-step setup. I had it working in under 5 minutes!

I chose the Wacom Intuos because it has everything you need to get started in digital art. I believed a pen in your hand is a more natural creative interface on your computer when creating artwork. With Wacom’s pressure-sensitive pen, you can create thicker or thinner lines simply by pushing harder on the pen or edit images with more or less opacity, depending on how hard you press.  Whether you love to draw manga art, paint digital watercolors or retouch your photos, you will receive up to 3 free creative software programs to suit your style.

This very convenient sized (note the standard business card in the image above), portable tablet has the following specs:

Medium size with larger active area
Ideal for use with large or multiple monitors and can be set up for both left- and right-handed use.

Four customizable ExpressKeys
Put your favorite shortcuts like Undo or Copy/Paste at your fingertips.

Wacom Pen 4K
Cordless, pressure-sensitive, battery-free pen with built-in pen nib compartment and nib removal tool.

4096 levels of pressure sensitivity
For control and precision when drawing, painting and photo-editing in any software program.

Bluetooth connectivity
Connect wirelessly with Bluetooth to your Mac or PC.

Includes free downloadable software
Choose two of the following: Corel Painter Essentials (drawing/painting), Corel AfterShot (photo-editing), Clip Studio Paint Pro 2-year license (comic/manga).

I found the Wacom to be somewhat tricky to master at first, but after an hour of just using it I was able to create a decent drawing in Microsoft Paint. I had realized that my two decades of just using a mouse were over. The Wacom made everything drawing and creating better and easier.

If you’ve used a tablet before the size and precision of this Wacom Intuos tablet is going to dazzle you. If you have never used a tablet before, it’s time to jump in since this one is the best ever, at a great price. Head out and buy one at Best Buy today!
