Children take priority if you have them. No matter what their age, it is important that you let your children know how much you love and care about them. Sometimes that means being a provider when they need something, a shoulder to cry on and a wise sounding board. While fulfilling all these duties, remember that spending quality time with your children are just as important.
Things may not have gone back to normal, but this time is great for quality time with family including your children. Besides watching a movie or TV together, here are some fun and creative ways to spend time with your kid.
Wrangling your kids for bath time can be really stressful, but it does not have to be. Use that time as a way to spend time with your children. You can spend quality time with your child while also getting something done. Mom would be happy about that. Sometimes you can connect with your child on a vulnerable level when you do this.
Partake In Playtime
The next time your child asks you to play with them, oblige them and join in on the fun. Get off the couch, turn off your screens and get on the floor and play. Engage with your child. This is an excellent way to spend quality time with them. Cook their favorite meal and sit down at the dinner table. Engage in conversation, finding out about how each other’s day went and what your children are struggling with that day. Read Them A Book

Kids love spontaneity and surprises. Use this to your advantage and sneak in some quality time with your children at the same time. After sitting down and having dinner together, take a trip to your local ice cream parlor.
