How to Make a Home Safer for Children

If you have a young child or a toddler in your home, you need to make sure the place is safe and secure for them to grow up in. People with toddlers tend to remove water features from the home and install fire alarms in every room. But there are some other things to think about. 

Water Features 

One of the most common dangers to toddlers is water features in the home. Water features can be ponds and fountains in the garden, but you also need to look out for bath water, paddling pools, and any other water container. A toddler can drown in only a few centimeters of water. 

Toddlers are not yet able to look after themselves and don’t understand the dangers of water. If you have a toddler in your home, the best thing you can do is remove the water feature completely; failing that, you will have to secure and monitor the feature to reduce the risks.
