Employees need to be motivated and invested in your company and project to support productivity levels and revenue. If you employ staff members, you should think about the office environment, company culture, and rewards that you can offer them to show appreciation.

Pleasant Office

Some of the biggest businesses in the world, such as the big tech companies in Silicon Valley and beyond, understand that an office space needs to be pleasant and creative. Walk into one of these offices, and you are more likely to see inventive spaces instead of conventional rooms.

There’s no reason why your office space can’t align with what is most successful in business nowadays. Think about the physical space in your office and what you can do to make it more comfortable and creative for your employees. Maybe you could bring in bean bags for meetings.

Supportive Office

An office space needs to be comfortable, but it also needs to be supportive. A modern office should be a compassionate workspace and also aligned with contemporary values such as diversity and inclusion. Align with these values and always take feedback from employees.

There are some other ways you can create a supportive office environment. Give your employees more autonomy; for instance, including their family members in the company culture. Creating a supportive office is excellent for improving your workplace culture and productivity.

Complimentary Events

Inviting your staff to a special lunch, hosting a company event, or organizing some fun activities all show that you are invested in the happiness and well-being of your employees and their families. Complimentary events can also include a discount gym membership and spa days.

Why not organize a company lunch or event to celebrate the work or achievements of your office staff? Invest in quality lunch catering and ask your employees to invite their loved ones. Not only does this create connection and motivation for staff members, it includes families.

Office Rewards

When you have staff on the books, you need to think about occasional rewards to improve their motivation and create some loyalty to the business. Office rewards can be things like a quarterly bonus, private healthcare, investment in career progression, as well as shares in the company.

Rewards are a perk for working for the company, but they can also be a perk for achievements in the company. If you are trying to motivate staff members and improve business productivity, one of the best ways is to create some competition between the members of your workforce.

Career Progression

Nobody wants to stand still in their career, so you need to make space for career progression in your business. Perhaps you could create a tiered system that allows staff members to climb the ladder at the company, building trust, loyalty, and clients along the way, but always try to invest.

If you are a startup or you don’t have a model that supports career progression, you can still invest in career progression in a way that creates trust and loyalty to your brand. Think about supplementing courses for employees or investing in their personal development at the firm.
