Relationships are rewarding but they can also be challenging, especially when they end. Not every couple will find happiness and live happily ever after.

You may find yourself dealing with a breakup now or in the future and want to know the best ways to handle the situation. You need to be at your best and have a lot of energy and motivation to continue being strong even if you’re struggling. It may help to exercise more frequently to burn off some steam and reduce your stress. Also, make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep each night.

Move on When You’re Ready

The reality is that you won’t feel in pain or hurt forever when your relationship takes a turn for the worse. Eventually, you’ll come to realize that you’re better off without the other person and that there’s something even more rewarding out there for you. There is no roadmap or guideline as to when you should move on, so pay attention and do so when you feel ready. You might want to start by going out with a group of friends or trying online dating and see how it goes. Go at your own pace and retreat or take a break from the dating scene if it feels overwhelming. Proceed and try again once you’re in a better place.
